Sports fields serve as an extension of the class room and provide the nurturing grounds for trials, tribulations and adventure so important in the process of growing up. Team sports like cricket, football and basketball help to develop leadership qualities and encourage teamwork and cooperation, whereas individual sports like tennis, badminton, skating, swimming, athletics and squash aim at responsible personal behavior. Building of self-confidence in students is being achieved through adventure sports and by exposing them to techniques to handle emergency and relief operations.
